Archives de la Linguistique Française, 1500-1900

This collection of nearly 400 original works includes many that are considered to be the sources of our current knowledge of French linguistic problems and methods.  The collection also represents a compendium of fundamental premises evolving over four centuries.  The collection, consisting of many rare and inaccessible works, is intended to provide much needed documentation to students and researchers in the fields of linguistics, grammar, French language, semantics, poetics, aesthetics and literary theory.  A printed guide, containing chronological, author and subject/genre indexes, accompanies the collection.
